Naturopath for Allergies in Berlin

Allergies are a common part of modern society. Many people suffer from them and consciously try to avoid their triggers whenever these are known. Allergies are not only annoying and disruptive; they can also significantly reduce quality of life. For this reason, allergy treatment is an important aspect of the holistic care provided in my practice.

What are allergies?

From a medical perspective, allergies are abnormal reactions of the immune system to otherwise harmless environmental substances, known as allergens. These include, for example, pollen, house dust mites, animal hair, foods, insect venoms, or certain medications. In a healthy person, the immune system tolerates these substances. In people with allergies, however, the immune system mistakenly classifies them as dangerous and triggers a defensive reaction. At the center of many allergies is the antibody immunoglobulin E (IgE). After the first contact with an allergen, the body produces specific IgE antibodies. This process is called sensitization and usually occurs without symptoms. When the body encounters the allergen again, it binds to the IgE antibodies on certain immune cells, especially mast cells. This causes the release of chemical messengers such as histamine, which are responsible for the typical allergy symptoms. Symptoms can vary widely. Common signs include itching, sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, red eyes, skin rashes, or gastrointestinal problems. In severe cases, breathing difficulties or an allergic shock (anaphylaxis) may occur, which can be life-threatening. Medically, allergies are diagnosed based on medical history, skin tests, blood tests, and, if necessary, provocation tests. Treatment usually consists of avoiding the allergen, medication, and in selected cases a specific immunotherapy (desensitization).

Why Allergies Are Increasing in Everyday Life

From a medical perspective, allergies are becoming more common in everyday life for several reasons. One central explanation is the so-called hygiene hypothesis. It suggests that in early childhood the immune system has too little contact with microorganisms. Very hygienic living conditions, frequent disinfection, and fewer infectious diseases mean the immune system is less “trained” and may later overreact to harmless substances. Another factor is changing environmental conditions. Air pollution, fine particulate matter, and exhaust fumes can irritate the mucous membranes and make them more permeable to allergens. At the same time, climate change is altering flowering periods and pollen levels. Longer pollen seasons and the spread of highly allergenic plants increase the burden for people with allergies. Lifestyle also plays a role. Diets high in heavily processed foods, lack of physical activity, and stress can influence the immune system. In addition, many people spend more time indoors, where they are more frequently exposed to allergens such as house dust mites or mold. Finally, diagnostic methods and awareness have improved. Allergies are now identified and diagnosed more often than in the past, which also contributes to the apparent increase. Overall, the rise in allergies is the result of a complex interaction between environmental factors, lifestyle, and modern living conditions.

Common Allergies in My Berlin Practice

Frau schaut verschreckt auf Graspollen

Hay Fever & Pollen Allergy

Do you suffer from seasonal hay fever, watery eyes, or constant sneezing during spring and summer? A pollen or grass allergy can significantly reduce quality of life—especially in a large city like Berlin, where pollen levels can rise sharply during certain months.

Allergien - Tierhaar & Hausstaub

House Dust & Pet Hair Allergies

Do you suffer from a blocked nose, frequent sneezing, itchy eyes, or recurring cough—especially indoors or when in contact with pets? A house dust or pet hair allergy (often triggered by mites or proteins from skin flakes) can significantly affect everyday life.

Allergien - Neurodermitis

Atopic Dermatitis & Allergic Skin Reactions

Itching, redness, dry skin, or eczema can significantly affect everyday life. Atopic dermatitis and allergic skin reactions often occur in flare-ups and may be triggered or worsened by factors such as stress, diet, or environmental influences.

Allergien - Nahrungsmittelunverträglichkeit

Food Allergies & Food Intolerances

Bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, skin reactions, or fatigue after eating may indicate a food allergy or intolerance. The symptoms are often nonspecific, which can make clear identification in everyday life more difficult.

Holistic Approach in the Practice

The treatment of allergies is a central focus of bioresonance therapy.

With its help, allergens can not only be identified but also treated. Thanks to allergy treatment with bioresonance, even complex cases can often be addressed successfully.

Who Is This Approach Suitable For?

This treatment approach is generally intended for people of all ages who suffer from allergic or nonspecific symptoms and are looking for a holistic complement to conventional medicine. It is particularly suitable for individuals experiencing symptoms such as digestive problems, respiratory complaints, skin reactions, or chronic fatigue, especially when conventional medical treatments have not provided sufficient relief. Patients who wish to support their conventional therapy with an additional holistic approach may also benefit from treatment in a naturopathic practice.

In naturopathic care, the individual is not viewed solely from a symptom-based perspective but as a whole. The aim is to identify individual stress factors and support the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms. This can help reduce symptoms and improve overall well-being. Every treatment is based on a careful medical history and is individually tailored.

In principle: Anyone experiencing health complaints and wishing to actively improve their well-being can explore whether this approach may be suitable for them. A reputable naturopathic practice will provide transparent information about the possibilities and limitations of the treatment.

The process begins with a detailed medical history, during which symptoms, previous illnesses, and individual lifestyle factors are discussed. The course of the therapy is reviewed regularly and adjusted if necessary to achieve the most sustainable improvement of symptoms.
